Cornwall Sports Media is delighted to announce an official partnership with the Kernow Football Alliance.
The agreement sees Cornwall Sports Media become the official Media Partner for Cornwall’s international football representatives, with the remit of supplying written and photographic content for all Kernow activity as well as helping to maintain their website and social media channels.
The Kernow Football Alliance were officially ratified by CONIFA in November of 2018, providing a platform for Cornwall to join more than 50 other members across the globe, each with their own distinctive story – from nations, de-facto nations and regions to minority peoples and sports isolated territories.
Fast forward to the present day and Kernow’s men are preparing to compete at their first ever international competition – this summer’s European Football Cup in Nice, France (June 3-12) – while their inclusive team are all set to visit Sabbioneta, Italy later this year having entered CONIFA’s European No-Limits Championship.
Kernow Football Alliance chairman Jason Heaton said: “The fact that Cornwall Sports Media are integral to the local community and have an in-depth understanding of international procedures and co-operation at the highest level has made it a very simple decision to work with them as our media partner of choice.
“It is the perfect extension of a long term relationship for which we are truly grateful.
“Cornwall Sports Media are a dynamic team with great vision and integrity that has put us at the forefront of international football development.
“We very much look forward to continuing our incredible success story together.”
Colin Bradbury of Cornwall Sports Media said: “Kernow FA is exactly the kind of organisation that Cornwall Sports Media was set up to work with.
“First and foremost, Kernow FA provides a platform for the Duchy’s most talented players. The men’s team is preparing to fly off to the European Football Cup in June, making this the ideal time for us to formalise our partnership.
“Our own Tom Howe will be at the tournament to provide full coverage of the event, enabling people back home to track the team’s progress in the competition.
“It’s really important for Cornish people to know what Kernow FA is doing, both for the sport and for the image of the Duchy. They are ambassadors for our corner of the footballing world.
“Jason and his team’s apparently limitless reserves of energy and enthusiasm for the Kernow FA project is really inspiring, and we’re delighted to be working with them to highlight their achievements and to get their message out to the widest possible audience.”
Kernow Football Alliance’s Director of Football, Andrew Bragg, added: “We at Kernow FA are honoured to announce an official partnership with Cornwall Sports Media.
“Another innovative Cornish business has been formed and is getting pushed to the limit by forward thinking people.
“It’s always amazing the vision of some people in this county. We hope to help them prosper and once again spread the word about how amazing our county is.
“Hopefully we can give them something exciting as they travel with our men’s team for our inaugural international tournament in Nice this June. Hopefully we can bring some silverware back home with us, too.”
