Cornwall Sports Media’s big 2022/23 football preview

It may only feel like the last one just ended, but the new football season is already here.

The competitive action gets underway this Saturday with the opening round of fixtures in the Western League Premier Division, while the South West Peninsula League Premier West begins on Tuesday night with Liskeard Athletic at home to Callington Town to Lux Park.

Truro City’s Southern League Premier South campaign starts on Saturday, August 6 with a trip to London to face Hanwell Town, while the 2022/23 St Piran League campaign also gets going on the same day.

The following weekend marks the start of the East Cornwall League, Cornwall Combination League, Duchy League and Trelawny League, while St Austell Ladies begin their maiden FA Women’s National League Division 1 South voyage at AFC Bournemouth Women on Sunday, August 21.

We at Cornwall Sports Media have marked the start of the new football season by compiling a preview for each and every of the 24 Cornish men’s teams competing in the National League System (i.e. Step 6 of the NLS pyramid and above) this term.
