Premier Division

Penzance’s lead at the top of the Premier Division is now up to 42 points after they won by seven wickets at home to Callington. Rumesh Buddhika hit 77 as Callington made 216, with Jack Paull carrying the bat for the hosts with an unbeaten 89 as Penzance crossed the line in the 43rd over.

The battle behind Penzance is hotting up with Camborne now sharing second spot with Wadebridge and St Just after defeating the west Cornwall side by three wickets at their Cape Road home. Daniel Stephens took 3-14 and Alfie MacDonald took 3-18 as St Just were dismissed for 112, and while Chamikara Edirisinghe took 4-12 in the reply, Liam Weeks top-scored with 45 as Camborne ensured victory in the 39th over.

After finally earning their first win of the season last weekend, Truro won by six wickets at Wadebridge to make it two on the bounce and give their survival hopes a huge boost. Rob Harrison took 5-33 as Wadebridge were bowled out for 173, with Dan Davis (65) and Chesney Hughes (67) putting on 122 for the first wicket as Truro coasted over the line in the 33rd over.

Redruth are five points behind the second-placed trio after winning by 61 runs at Hayle. Lloyd Brock hit an unbeaten 63 as Redruth posted 187, with Craig Johnson taking 3-8 as Hayle were dismissed for 126.

Elsewhere, St Austell enjoyed a 52-run victory over Werrington at Wheal Eliza. Gary Bone plundered an unbeaten 72 as the hosts racked up 217, with Jonty Leadbeater taking 5-23 as Werrington were bowled out for 165.

Helston retained their 26-point advantage at the summit after beating Redruth 2 by eight wickets. Connor Poulton top-scored with 41 as Redruth were dismissed for 192, with Dan Jenkin carrying the bat with an unbeaten 11 as Helston secured victory in the 32nd over.

Second-placed Beacon enjoyed a 123-run victory at bottom side Werrington 2. Jordan Thomas hit 120 as Beacon racked up 268, before Edward Wright (3-15), Tom James (3-34) and Darren Proctor (3-12) took three wickets apiece as Werrington were bowled out for 145.

Grampound Road solidified third spot with a 19-run triumph at home to Newquay. Alex Lean plundered 67 as the hosts posted 243, with Matthew Ricketts taking 4-40 as Newquay were dismissed for 224 off the final ball of their innings.

Lanhydrock did their hopes of survival the world of good with a two-wicket victory at home to St Erme. Spencer wilcock scored 66 as St Erme were bowled out for 225, with an unbeaten 59 from Ryan Butler helping second-from-bottom Lanhydrock over the line with seven balls to spare.

Fourth-placed Paul were 15-run winners at Falmouth. Ben Brooks led the way with an unbeaten 59 as Paul posted 270, with Adrian Noot top-scoring with 61 as Falmouth fell just short of their target.

Mullion consolidated sixth spot with a five-wicket win at Callington 2. Jamie Dalrymple took 5-22 as Callington were skittled out for 106, with Ryan Pascoe top-scoring with 46 as Mullion got the job done in the 31st over.

Jacob Rowe plundered an unbeaten 77 before Mark Trudgeon took 3-16 as leaders Roche Old Boys won by 160 runs at South Petherwin, while Matthew Gordon hit 90 as second-placed Wadebridge 2 won by 78 runs at Tideford.

Riley Blackwell-Smyth took 4058 for Grampound Road 2 in their 21-run victory at Callington 3, while Jeremy Araujo plundered 123 for Tintagel in their 75-run triumph at Bude.

Elsewhere, Steve Kidd (3-29) and Hugh Rogers (3-23) took three wickets apiece as Menheniot/Looe defeated St Blazey by one wicket.
